DISABLED AND LIMBLESS VETERANS

We are a group of Veterans and civilian volunteers providing meals, clothing, shelter and transportation to Americas Veterans in need and their families. We are the conduit between individual or corporate donors and our Veterans.

Our vision is to empower and improve the lives of Veterans and their families by providing assistance and support.

We seek to educate the community about the needs of Veterans opportunities to meet these needs. We want Veterans to know we care and also hope to inspire others to care.

We solicit donation of food from local restaurants and supermarkets to:
• Serve meals at VA hospitals and clinics
• Provide luncheons at Offer holiday meals to Veterans at home, in transitional housing, and in shelters.

We solicit new and used clothing from generous members of the community and also corporate donors to:
• Provide suits and business clothing through our Suits for Success program to Veterans participating in the Veterans Treatment Court Programs
• Supply new shoes and clothing through donation from generous corporations
• Provide gently used clothing to Veterans in shelters and transitional housing through clothing drives.

We help provide shelter by:
• Offering temporary housing or shelter to individual Veterans on an emergency basis
Improving Veterans facilities by providing bedding and recreational equipment to shelters and transitional housing facilities
• Educating Veterans about temporary and permanent housing opportunities
• Providing hand-crafted quilts and wheelchair lap robes to Veterans in VA hospitals
