Community Outreach

by BIRMINGHAM GREEN ADULT CARE RESIDENCE

The need for comprehensive health education is critical as communities face increasing health disparities, particularly among underserved populations such as low-income seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities. With rising cases of chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, the demand for effective health management support has never been more urgent. Many individuals from vulnerable communities lack access to necessary resources and education to manage their health. Birmingham Green’s Community Outreach program addresses this gap by providing free, accessible health services and education, offering life-changing opportunities for individuals who lack access to preventive care so they can improve their health.

Since 1926, Birmingham Green has provided compassionate care to seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities in Prince William County, Fairfax County, Fauquier County, Loudoun County, and Alexandria, VA. Birmingham Green was named the #1 nursing home in Northern Virginia by Newsweek for 2025. We are also a finalist for Prince William County Non-Profit of The Year. Our Community Outreach program reflects and authenticates these accomplishments by offering critical health education and resources to underserved populations. Through health fairs, screenings, and education on managing chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes, we empower individuals to take control of their health. By providing free, accessible services, the program addresses health disparities and promotes long-term wellness, ensuring that vulnerable members of our community receive the support they need to live long, healthy, full lives.
