The Ruby Mountain Chapter, NSDAR has committed to be a Group Leader in the sponsorship of the Wreaths Across America project for the Elko Cemetery. The goal of the program is to place a fresh evergreen wreath on the grave of as many veterans as possible during the Christmas season. In 2021 we raised enough sponsorships to acquire 693 wreaths, which were placed on the graves of veterans buried in the Elko Cemetery. We estimate that there are 1,000+ veterans buried there and our goal for 2022 is to raise enough sponsorships to place a wreath on every veteran’s grave to bring recognition and honor and to thank them for their service. The ceremony for placing the wreaths will be on December 17, 2022. Wreaths are $15 each and all funds go toward a sponsorship.
