CROSS THE DIVIDE

We serve our warfighters and their families through guided outdoor events like backpacking, hunting, fishing, horse camping, llama packing and retreats -- all at no cost to our veterans. These events help build camaraderie between veterans, build relationships with family and with God, and increase a sense of purpose and hope. These outcomes have the additional benefit of reducing suicide, depression and loneliness amongst our veteran participants.

The majority of our volunteers, guides, facilitators and board members are also veterans from various branches of service that served in various conflicts/locations. All have a deep Christian faith that provides the solid foundation for their own service.

By inviting our participants to experience the healing power of nature, faith, & family, we seek to equip veterans with renewed confidence and coping strategies they can use in their daily lives. In the words of one of our combat-wounded amputee hunters, "I feel alive for the first time in over 10 years. I was feeling like less of a man, but I have my confidence back and a renewed faith . Now I realize for the first time that I can do anything if I am willing to accept help."
