Veterans Caring for Neglected and Abused Parrots

Disabled combat veterans are hired to care for similarly traumatized parrots which are exhibiting self-mutilation and extreme feather-plucking to the extent they are largely bald. Others come to us with broken legs or pinioned wings so they can no longer walk or fly. Together the parrots and veterans learn to understand each other's traumas and build trusting, healing relationships. Most people underestimate the intelligence of parrots and their desire for social contact.

We need to hire one more part-time veteran to work on the weekends and ensure the parrots have 7 day a week, round the clock care and protection.
