SANDLER CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS FOUNDATION

The Sandler Center Foundation's work focuses on the following:
1) An Education Program that serves approximately 16,000 Pre-K through 8th grade students annually through educational matinees at the Sandler Center in Virginia Beach.
2) Providing funding support to approximately 80% of students attending matinee programs. These students attend a Title I school or other school in need that serves students and families from low-income neighborhoods.
3) A Local Heroes Program that supports Sandler Center Resident Companies while providing opportunities for area first responders, military members and Gold Star Families to attend a Resident Company performance at no cost.
4) Developing programs and partnerships to provide opportunities to veterans, military members, military family members and care givers for exposure to the performing arts.
5) Underwriting world-class performances at the Sandler Center to provide exposure to a variety of cultures and genres for the community.
