We have been primarily a movement studio and community space for the past two and a half years. In June, we expanded and built a dance studio at 310 Atlantic with the intention of supporting artists and social advocates.
We have created four branches of this mission to help support artists:
-Residency: The 10-week long program provides two artists with 10-hours a week of subsidized studio space, administrative resources and an opportunity to present or discuss the work created in the studio in one of our Dressed|Undressed: Work in Progress showings.
-Artist Coop: To support artists and their process, we have created an Artist Co-Op Membership to allow artists independent access to the space, greater scheduling accessibility and discounted rental rates. Our Membership is open to movement artists, as well as writers, actors, musicians, among others.
-Workshop Support: We are able to support single day, to multiple week long independent workshop rentals for artists in different genres.
-Works in Progress Showings: Our works in progress format is designed to promote, support and encourage artists through their creative process. Our Dressed|Undressed showings offer emerging and established artists a platform to present their work in an intimate space. Artists participating in the showing will receive 2 hours of free rehearsal space, to aid in preparation for the event.
