Serving America’s Veterans Year-Around (SAVY) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to honoring the service of our nation’s veterans by ensuring they are supported long after their military service ends. While many veterans return home with courage and resilience, too many also face housing insecurity, isolation, and limited access to resources. SAVY exists to close that gap with compassion, consistency, and action.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that no veteran should struggle to find a safe place to live or feel forgotten after serving our country. Through our Battle Buddy Independent Living Program, SAVY provides safe, fully furnished housing in a respectful, supportive environment designed to promote stability and independence. Veterans are offered shared or private living spaces, access to essential household supplies, and a community built on dignity, accountability, and mutual support.
Beyond housing, SAVY focuses on creating pathways toward long-term stability. We work to connect veterans with community resources, employment opportunities, and supportive services that address the challenges they face during transition. Our model recognizes that stability begins with shelter, but healing and progress happen through consistency, encouragement, and human connection.
What makes SAVY unique is our year-round commitment. Support for veterans cannot be seasonal or symbolic. The needs do not end after holidays, awareness campaigns, or ceremonial moments. Veterans deserve ongoing care, reliable support, and organizations that stand with them every day. SAVY answers that call by remaining present, responsive, and dedicated throughout the entire year.
