Who is Lightworker Services 2-0 Inc?
2-0 is the second iteration of Lightworker Services. The first being an introduction to nonprofits a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization. Having began this endeavor operating as a handyman, stepping down from the previous General Contractor roll. It was considered, anyone was capable of working life's puzzle the same way I was. Nothing special within myself, just a man with options others did not have.

How did we arrive to this place?
Well as a handyman/contractor, having a midlife crisis and stepping away from the large projects that I no longer had any passion for. I had moved past the love of money, past the need to be #1. I needed the clients that made everything worth doing, the homeowner. So I set out to pull up a disenfranchised soul and show him another way. It didn't take long before Enrique Cutts found his way to a presale remodeling job I was working on at the beach. A guy needing work the afternoon before, stopped by on his bike asking for a job. I told him to come back and see the boss. Sending him to my currently absent nephew. To the nephew I instructed to ask him to be here at 8 AM.
Well as it turns out, that was not only person seeking work at the beach. Because it took me about 30 minutes to figure out this 8 AM arrival was not the person I spoke to. A Black kid, early 30's , big scar through his cheek from being shot in the face. He had slept on the 38⁰ beach to get the job. Been out of prison 10 days and just wanted a job. I couldn't believe it. Almost like God said, is this what you were looking for? I put Mr Cutts in a budget Motel and gave him some task to do. It didn't take long for me to understand that this was going to be impossibly time consuming and expensive. I kept Mr Cutts around for a few months, got him an ID and Social security card. Helped him get some footing and off I went to study the problem of training others.

What do they hope to achieve?
Our organization hopes to teach the basics of modular home construction. Using shipping containers as a platform to create 480 sq ft 1 bad 1 bath homes. Leaving every opportunity for the students to further themselves. As we have CAD programing to utilize, a degree I have never used. We will ask that some consider the project management roll, as it does me no good to hoard the position. There will be some engineering, the appropriate math, strength of material necessary to communicate with the city engineers. Plus all the standard trades needed to construct a home from a steel box. Metal fabrication, plumbing electrical HVAC interior finishing exterior finishing etc. Given a crew of seasoned professionals should be able to finish a 480 sq ft build in 7 -10 days. We are floating the concept 90 day build per unit, with a new start every 30 days and a class of 10 - 20 per unit. Putting 1 unit out the door every month after 90 day. Or 12 units a year on a 15 month beginning cycle.

What kind of impact could they have?
It is certainly possible to change a few life's within the process. Basically creating a on the job training without the demands of for-profit-business. No telling how many lives that could be touched. Ex prisoners, community service, underserved community, anyone who we can fund to get learn more. Aside from the educational value, we are then left with a fully functional, safe and efficient 1 bedroom 1 bathroom home that would need to be removed from our location. Dressed up to fit the destination. Going into a village of vinyl siding cabanas? We can do that. Lap siding, no problem. In the woods with smooth exterior finishing, easy. That means no less than 12 new homes per year and I am sure the brains behind funding these things will work out the details.

So in a nutshell, I am Jeffery Herrick and this is my vision.

The remainder of the mission revolves around taking care to insure others are alright. As well as making sure that I will remain as good as I have always been, by insuring the value of another person rights. The utter importance of protecting the next persons Rights, because once we as a society find it acceptable to allow the violation of another persons Rights, it is the building block leading to the violation of your own Rights. Personally I don't want to deal with the violation of my Rights, so I am willing to fight for yours and yours and yours too.
Allow the homeless person to hold his sign begging for help. It's unfortunate, but better than him stealing or worse to get by?. We are not saying you have any obligation to give him a dime. But consider this, what if you needed to ask for help with no place to turn? Best to keep such an option open for us all.
Be kind, because no matter how well you think you know what is going on in the head of the person near you. You have no idea. When they are running at an oncoming dump truck one day and hunting their spine with a steak knife the next you think you figured it out. Then you learn they were just following the instructions given by moms voice, that is when you understand how little you understood. So be mindful of others and make today the kindest day yet. Believe it or not, you will effect a person who needs it. It's free, much easier than you think and it pays you back daily.

Stop by sometime, let's talk about the kid who had never read a novel at 25. Nor completed a single 10th grade class. Then spent the next 12 years reading, studying, teaching and growing to become the man who stands before you. Turned out the ignorant kid was under challenged and unfocused. Turned out that psychology, philosophy, physics, and the like are fun.
