To provide a no-cost, healthy, nutritious, dining experience, ready-made meals, and education classes to our active duty service members, their families, and veterans in the greater Hampton Roads area.

The mission of Home Port is to provide active duty service members, their families, and our veterans with healthy, nutritious meals, a dining experience, and cooking and nutrition classes 100% for free. Currently there are over 11,000 active duty personnel in the Hampton Roads area who fall under the categories of substantial to severe food insecurity. That is almost 25% of the total active duty population for this area, and it is often the most overlooked community when it comes to food insecurity. By utilizing principal donations, resources such as the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and The Eastern Shore (FSEVA), federal, state, and local grants, and fundraising/donations we believe that we can substantially reduce food insecurity for this demographic.
