Living Opera Foundation

Living Opera Foundation strengthens artistic careers through accessible, high-level education, professional networks, and research on the creative workforce. Its programs connect emerging and mid-career artists with the training, knowledge, and opportunities needed to build sustainable careers.

The Living Opera Foundation improves the lives and professional prospects of artists through rigorous research, accessible education, and high-level career development. Our Kristin Okerlund Masterclass Series provides emerging and mid-career singers with free professional instruction, practical career guidance, and access to networks that are often difficult to reach. We also conduct research on artist livelihoods, the creative economy, and the conditions needed for sustainable artistic careers. By connecting artistic excellence with evidence-based support, we help artists develop their craft, navigate the profession, and build more durable careers.
