Introduction:
CJK Community Homes is a nonprofit organization founded and led by individuals with lived experiences, providing more than just housing. Our holistic approach integrates financial literacy, onsite mental health services, and rental reporting to empower individuals and families in our community. With a proven track record of success, we currently serve 107 individuals, including 21 families with over 30 children and 28 single adults.
Project Overview: Building Awareness, Capacity, and Impact
1. Financial Literacy Programs:
We believe in the transformative power of financial literacy. Our tailored programs empower residents with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed financial decisions. Workshops cover budgeting, credit management, debt reduction, and long-term financial planning. By building financial literacy, we are laying the foundation for economic independence.
2. Onsite Mental Health Services:
Mental health is at the core of well-being. Our onsite mental health services provide a comprehensive support system. Licensed professionals offer individual counseling, group therapy, and psychoeducation workshops. The goal is to reduce stigma, foster emotional resilience, and create a community that prioritizes mental health.
3. Rental Reporting Services:
We understand the importance of building positive credit histories. Our rental reporting services empower residents to establish and enhance their credit profiles by reporting timely rent payments. This opens doors to increased financial opportunities, creating a pathway toward economic stability and future homeownership.
Building Awareness:
To build awareness, we engage in community outreach, partnerships, and awareness campaigns. Through these efforts, we aim to spotlight the multifaceted support we provide and showcase the success stories of individuals and families who have transformed their lives with our programs.
Building Capacity:
We are committed to expanding our reach and impact. Building capacity involves collaborating with local businesses, government agencies, and philanthropic organizations to enhance our programs and services. Increased capacity allows us to serve more individuals and families, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
Greater Impact:
Our impact is measured not just in numbers but in the stories of transformed lives. To date, 33 single adults and 8 families have left our program self-sufficient, achieving financial independence. One adult and one family have realized the dream of homeownership. By investing in CJK Community Homes, you are contributing to a greater impact on the lives of those we serve and the broader community.
Conclusion:
CJK Community Homes is not just providing housing; we are fostering a community where individuals and families thrive. Through financial literacy, mental health support, and rental reporting, we are creating a pathway for lasting change. Join us in building awareness, increasing capacity, and making an enduring impact on the economic and emotional well-being of our community. Together, we are building a brighter future.
