Funding Request for Chromebooks to Support Digital Access and Education
As a nonprofit dedicated to serving underserved kids in Las Vegas, we are seeking funding to provide Chromebooks to those in need. Many of our clients lack access to reliable technology, limiting their ability to participate in online education, job training, and essential digital services. With your support, we can equip them with Chromebooks that will serve as vital tools for learning, career development, and staying connected in today’s digital world. KDC Literacy seeks to combat poverty and the academic disadvantages children experience as a result of poverty. In the state of NV 38% of 4th graders are reading deficient. This is disheartening and only widens the illiteracy gap as students are promoted through the education system. In efforts to combat illiteracy and prevent "summer slide", meaning students loosing approximately 20% of what they learned over the summer in reading comprehension, we need your help to give kids an equitable chance.
