SISTERHOOD FOR GOOD INC

Established by ten women in May 2011, Sisterhood For Good began on it path to help enrich the lives of those in our community. As a “Founder’s 50” member of the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund, and in conjunction with the Manatee Community Foundation, we proudly met our initial Endowment Fund obligation in 2013.

In 2018, our extensive growth in membership and fundraising allowed Sisterhood For Good the financial independence to become a 501(c)(3) public charity. This achievement is an outstanding reflection of our dedicated and passionate members.

SFG is founded on the principle that so much more can be accomplished when passionate women, who share common philanthropic goals, come together to provide hope, support and an immediate impact to enhance our community.

Through our bond of friendship and shared interests, SFG’s collective voice has been making a difference for a variety of charitable causes. Our active all-volunteer, women-only organization derives its strength from the integration of the energies, talents and expertise of our diverse and dynamic members. SFG has fun, networks, provides awareness for, and philanthropy to, qualified local non-profit organizations and programs in need through our strategic Annual Grants Program.

Sisterhood For Good’s two main revenue streams are: Membership Dues and Annual Fundraisers. We additionally receive general donations from Sponsors.

The Sisterhood began awarding grants in 2013 totaling $500. In June 2024, the Sisterhood awarded $153,036 worth grants to local non-profit organizations. Thus far, the Sisterhood has served over 47,205 members of the community. our exponential growth shows every sign of continuing based upon the success of our fundraisers.

SFG is a non-religious, non-politically affiliated organization.

in 2023, SFG achieved the GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency.
We are also registered on Florida Giving Partner Challenge via the Sarasota Community Foundation.
