The mission of the Chicago Furniture Bank is to provide dignity and comfort to Chicagoans moving into supportive housing by allowing them to hand-pick an entire home’s worth of furnishings. We believe everyone should be able to sleep in a bed, share a family meal at a kitchen table, and enjoy the comfort of a furnished home.

The Chicago Furniture Bank serves as an intermediary between people with extra furniture and those living without. Through our partnerships with over 450 local nonprofits, we allow our clients to handpick an entire home's worth of furniture from our showroom. The Chicago Furniture Bank serves the formerly homeless, victims of domestic violence, the mentally or physically disabled, veterans, and other populations that face poverty. In 6 years we have furnished over 18,500 homes and served over 45,000 Chicagoland residents.
