VETERANS ISLAND PROJECT AT MEMORIAL PARK

The Veterans' Island Project @ Memorial Park in Pottstown, PA was founded by a small group of private citizens with a vision to dedicate the island at Memorial Park solely to our local veterans. Through eye-catching memorial, public art, landscaping and educational information, our 501c3 project works to make this vision possible. We feel this is a natural evolution of the space as it exists today.

The Veterans’ Island Project is a 501c3 organization that is comprised of a board of directors with the intention to transform the island at Memorial Park into a tribute to American veterans, by developing projects aimed at improving and maintaining the island area, submitting them to the Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department for approval, and then developing fundraisers and soliciting donations and sponsorships to raise the funds needed to complete the approved projects. We work under the auspice of the Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department and function as a fundraising arm to help with the upkeep and enhancement of the island.
