SOUTH BEND COMMUNITY ROWING
SOUTH BEND, Indiana
To promote the activity of rowing in the South Bend community, and to use rowing as a means of teaching teamwork, goal setting, sportsmanship and collaboration.
South Bend Community Rowing provides opportunity for both experienced rowers, and newcomers to the sport. We host learning programs, as well as outreach programs for cancer survivors, veterans and other underserved residents of our community.
Our club is based in Kernan Park in South Bend, where we rent space in the City of South Bend's Boathouse. We have 2 8's and 2 4's and provide Learn-To-Row, Novice rowing and Masters rowing programs. Through these programs, we are adding vibrancy to life in our City. Our current membership is about 40 members, with over 50 other residents participating in our outreach programs throughout the year.
