Live Golf, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the well-being
of Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders through the therapeutic benefits of golf and the transformative power of golf therapy. Our mission is to provide Veterans with an outlet for physical activity, social interaction, and emotional healing. Live Golf acknowledges the mental health challenges that many face during their transition to civilian life.
Through our golf therapy program, Participants are provided with a supportive and therapeutic environment, where they can engage in physical activity while fostering social connections and emotional well-being.
The proposed program will consist of weekly golf therapy sessions conducted over a 6-week period. Each session will be led by certified golf instructors and mental health professionals specializing in Veteran care. Participants will receive instruction of golf techniques, engage in group discussions on mental health topics relevant to Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders, and have opportunities for camaraderie and peer support. The golf therapy sessions will be held at Mountain View Golf Club in Ewing, New Jersey.
The objectives are:
• Provide Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders with a safe and inclusive space to learn and practice golf skills.
• Foster social connections and a sense of community among participants.
• Educate Participants about the mental health benefits of physical activity and social
engagement.
• Equip Participants with coping strategies and resources to manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
Participation in the golf therapy program will lead to improved mental well-being, enhanced self-esteem, and a greater sense of purpose among Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders. Additionally, the program will serve as a valuable resource for Veterans seeking alternative approaches to mental health care and support.
We firmly believe that the proposed golf therapy program will have a profound and positive impact on the lives of those in our community. We are committed to collaborating with you to ensure the success and sustainability of this initiative.
