FOOD CARE CENTER

The Food Care Center is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1987 and dedicated to “standing in the gap created by hunger” throughout Central Texas. Located in Killeen, Texas, we provide nutritious groceries and essential support services at no cost to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

For more than three decades, the Food Care Center has served as a trusted community resource for seniors, veterans, military families, single parents, working families, and individuals experiencing financial hardship. Through strategic partnerships, volunteers, donors, and community support, we distribute millions of pounds of food annually to help ensure no family has to choose between food and other basic necessities.

In addition to food assistance, the Food Care Center works to restore dignity, hope, and stability for those we serve through compassionate outreach, community collaboration, and access to supportive resources. We believe that addressing hunger strengthens families and builds a healthier, stronger community for all.

The Food Care Center currently serves thousands of families each month across Killeen, Bell County, and surrounding Central Texas communities.
