VETERANS MEMORIAL MUSEUM INC

The Veterans Memorial Museum, Inc is a nonprofit organization located in Shenandoah, Iowa. It is open to the public during regular hours or at other times by request. It is visited by people in the area as well as out of town guests from across the country. The museum is a gathering place for veterans and offers support for them and their families. Students tour the museum, organizations have programs at the museum, veteran organizations meet at the museum, a VFW Veterans Day lunch is served at the museum. A speaker series of military history has been initiated. A veteran will be featured periodically with a display of his/her uniform and a biography of their military involvement.

Items for the museum have been donated by veterans or their families. By displaying this memorabilia and offering programs on military history, the museum hopes to honor the veterans and keep their story alive.
