Since the Covid-19 shut-downs and economic turmoil of 2020, we have since a large increase in the number of individuals and families in need of financial support, and those who have become homeless. As evictions increase we will continue to see these numbers rise. The Diversion & Homeless Prevention Program provides temporary financial support to help people financially before they enter homelessness. It's not just about providing rental assistance but a comprehensive program that teaches fiscal responsibility, budgeting, saving and provides resources to help people remain housed and be self-sufficient.
