Warrior Bonfire Program

The Warrior Bonfire Program is one of the only nonprofits in the nation dedicated exclusively to post-9/11 Purple Heart recipients and their spouses. We host small, activity-based retreats across the United States, offering a safe, judgment-free space where veterans and their families can connect with peers who understand their journey.

Each retreat blends outdoor adventure, shared meals, and reflective conversation—culminating in our signature Bonfire Ceremony, where fallen comrades are honored, and survivors can release grief. Ashes from each ceremony are carried forward to the next, ensuring no one is ever forgotten.

We currently host 35 retreats each year, yet many Purple Heart veterans remain on our waiting list. Our goal is to expand to at least 50 retreats annually, creating more opportunities to prevent veteran suicide, strengthen relationships, and help veterans and their spouses thrive beyond the battlefield.

Every program is offered at no cost to participants, because those who have sacrificed so much deserve our deepest commitment.
