Community Reads

Our mission is to support literary and community programs, and expand access to authors, books and reading in central Pennsylvania and beyond.

Community Reads aims to make books of cultural and social significance accessible to charitably qualifying readers of all ages — including youth; seniors; survivors of domestic violence, abuse, sexual assault, or human trafficking; Autistic people; those with physical or mental disabilities; and the unhoused, impoverished, or economically disenfranchised. Our programs bring diverse readers together in Third Spaces and create opportunities for conversations that can spur the vital exchange of civic ideas.
