SERVE OUR WILLING WARRIORS
Haymarket, VirginiaWilling Warriors is a privately-funded, volunteer- and community-supported nonprofit organization. We provide encouragement and non-medical programs that positively affect the well-being, recuperation, and lives of military service members and veterans (Warriors) who are wounded, ill, injured, or recovering from service-related injuries. Our program is also available to Public Safety/First Responder personnel. Our partners include Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, other military facilities, Veteran support organizations, businesses, corporations, churches, youth groups, and other public and private organizations. Our programs include hospital visits, summer BBQs, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas gift-giving, community fundraisers, and other events honoring warriors. Our signature program is the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run (the Retreat).
The Retreat includes the 11,000-square-foot home (Lang House), the 4,500-square-foot PenFed Foundation Home, and the 6,000-square-foot Grand Lodge, all of which are ADA-accessible homes on 37 acres in the shadow of the historic Bull Run Mountains in Haymarket, Virginia.
