To empower all people facing or experiencing homelessness by providing housing and services that inspire hope.
reStart is a progressive organization and Kansas City's only low-barrier shelter- we accept anyone experiencing homelessness regardless of religion; sexual identity or gender preference - including transgender youth and adults; veterans, and people living with HIV/AIDS. Our clients are adult men and women, youth and unaccompanied minors - which includes a maternal group home for youth facing parenthood, and families. We offer 17 programs that serve our regions' most vulnerable citizens with a focus on housing first and exit from homelessness into stable housing.
