Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity is a designated Housing Plus affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. This unique housing model works at the intersection of housing, human services and health care. The LGHFH AIP/HP program is holistic and focused on the needs of senior-aged homeowners who wish to remain in their homes (Age-in-Place). It is a collaboration with University Hospitals (UH) and Lifeline, Inc. to better serve the needs of the senior population in Lake and Geauga Counties.
Repairs performed by Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity included in this program are:
• Ramps • Grab Bars • Lever Style Doorknobs • Smoke/CO2 Detectors • Safety Gates • Handrails • Interior/Exterior Lighting • Nonslip Flooring • Tub Cuts/Shower Installs • ADA Compliant Toilets
Other physical repairs, such as roof repairs, painting, and siding, etc., will be considered depending on the need for safety and other health concerns.
