Veterans First provides *Advocacy that engages veterans with the VA and other programs and services specific to Veterans. *Spiritual Referrals, *Outreach to Struggling Veterans, their families, widows and widowers. *Our Hand Up Program provides assistance with rent, utility, bus passes, food, hygiene, household essentials, gift cards and additional resources to further meet the needs of Veterans and their families. *Senior, Disabled and Homebound Veterans with food, essentials for personal and home needs, medical equipment and ensure their homes are safe and secure and their needs are met. *Maternity Outreach for Veteran Families provides a tote with necessary items for newborn and a care package for mom. *Homeless Veteran Outreach, we work with Local Homeless Street Outreach Programs to help provide necessary supplies for their clients and animals. We engage the homeless veterans in VA Programs. *Male and Female Veterans bi- weekly, monthly and quarterly events providing a social venue, fun activities that creates support and comaraderie among the Veterans. Muster and Mingle creative activities, Heal Her Art, Art Wellness Program both for Women Veterans, Rest and Recreation social activities, fishing for male veterans. Instruments 4 Success; guitar lessons that promote healing through music. Veterans First provides wrap around support services for all attendees that are in need of such services. *Our Annual Events provide back to school backpacks with supplies for Veteran Children, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for Senior Veterans, Christmas gifts for Veteran Families with special emphasis on the children, along with gift cards for Christmas dinner, StandUp for homeless and struggling Women Veterans *We build collaborations and work with Veteran and Community Organizations, Churches and Companies across Arizona that assist and honor Veterans and their families while meeting their unique and challenging needs. *Through Speaking at various venues we help the community understand the issues Veterans and their families face and how they can assist in meeting those needs. We provide needed in-kind donations from our community of donors to help community organizations that assist all families, children, domestic violence and animals shelters, school social workers, and homeless people on the streets.
