CENTRAL COUNCIL OF THE SOCIETY OF ST VINCENT DE PAUL IN THE DIOCESE

St. Vincent de Paul Long Island (SVDPLI) is a Catholic lay organization dedicated to serving individuals and families in need across Nassau and Suffolk counties. Rooted in faith and guided by the principles of its patron, St. Vincent de Paul, the organization provides direct assistance to those struggling with poverty, homelessness, and financial hardship.

Through a network of 1100 Vincentian volunteers operating in 63 parish-based Conferences, SVDPLI offers vital support, including food, clothing, furniture, financial aid, and advocacy. The organization’s outreach goes beyond material assistance, focusing on personal relationships and long-term solutions to help individuals regain stability and dignity.

Home Visits, where volunteers provide personalized care and assess needs
Thrift Stores, offering affordable goods while funding charitable efforts
