For 13+ years, Guardian Angels has worked to rescue, raise, train and then donate incredible, individually trained medical service dogs to our veterans, first responders and civilians living with permanent disabilities.
The need is great, and we are determined to help everyone on our waiting list.
But our current facility, located in Williston, Florida is maxed out. Due to property limitations, we are limited to pairing approximately 50 dogs per year.
That's why we've purchased 102 acres in Washington County, Pennsylvania to become the NE Regional Campus for Guardian Angels!
This future, state-of-the-art service dog training facility will allow us to triple capacity. On site, we will be able to raise, train, care for and pair our life-saving service dogs. The campus will include:
Welcome Center: This large space will be perfect for meetings, large gatherings and pairings.
Life-Stage Training Buildings: Our proprietary training process trains dogs in life stages (so they learn as their brains develop). These life stage buildings will have space for housing and training our service dogs at a pace that works for them.
Veterinary Hospital: We employ a full-time veterinarian and several Veterinary Technicians to ensure the good health of each of our dogs, and provide follow-up care for our dogs even after they're paired.
Recipient Housing: When we donate a dog to a recipient, we bring them to us for 10 days of training and pairing, so not only do they have a great opportunity to bond, they have a calm, re-affirming space to begin their beautiful #NewNormal. Having recipient housing on-site means that not only we can be there for dedicated support the first 10 days, we can save additional funds, previously spent on hotel rooms to pair more recipients!
Quarantine Building: Because we also rescue dogs from shelters, the quarantine building allows us to bring those rescues in, while ensuring the great health of dogs already on property.
