I (Mikah Meyer) am currently on a world record journey to all 417 U.S. National Park Service sites, becoming the youngest person to accomplish the feat and the only person to do it in a single, continuous trip. Through a website, blog, videos, photos, social media, and a media partnership with the Voice of America I am documenting the experience so these national treasures can be shared with the world in a way never before seen.
This “Travel Beyond Convention,” as I call it, was launched on April 29, 2016 and is projected to end May 19, 2019. Upon completion of the journey, I intend to write a book sharing about the diversity of America's National Park System, and also develop a TV show focused on diversifying the travel industry.
