The Symphony by the Sea experience is different from the large orchestra experience. A Chamber Orchestra has its own special niche poised to present nuanced performances. Our venue at the beautifully restored Cabot Theater in Beverly MA is a perfect match for an ensemble of typically 35 to 40 musicians.
Under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Donald Palma, Symphony by the Sea continues an established tradition of presenting a wide range of classics from Baroque to Contemporary. Maestro Palma, who serves on the faculty of Boston's New England Conservatory and the Yale College of Music, offers brief commentary from the podium at the beginning of each performance to enrich and inspire the appreciation of the concert program and thereby deliver transformative musical experiences to our veteran and new audiences.
Symphony by the Sea's 2024-2025 season presents four compelling concert programs from November 2024 through May 2025 including featured performances by celebrated guest soloists.
