The aim of this project is to purchase a touring bus so that the young people that are part of the area of focus can visit educational sites. Currently, they are living in low-income projects, surrounded by drug dealers, formerly incarcerated persons, and other generally unemployed people. Most if not all of these young people have experienced homelessness and have been in the sight of and line of gunshots. The corner store and the projects where they reside have provided the frame of reference by which their worldview has been defined.
By taking these young people to view alternate environments, and taking them on tours of college campuses, space and aviation museums etc., it will be possible to impact their worldview to the extent that they can visualize living differently from where they are currently being raised.
A tour bus as well as the funds to finance these trips will facilitate this process
