Azul works to empower Latino leadership for marine conservation. We strive to integrate marine conservation as a core priority of the traditional Latino civic leadership infrastructure and diversifying the marine conservation movement with a focus on growing leadership by people of color. Azul engages Latinos in a comprehensive fashion, using both a localized grassroots and a national 'grass-tops' campaign, leveraging constituency built in the SF Bay Area to bring Marine Conservation to the forefront of the Latino civic rights leadership. Azul works primarily on the following issues:
