Goloka Farm Cow Sanctuary

Help repair two failing barns sheltering nearly 30 rescued cows and bulls at Goloka Farm before winter. Structural damage puts their safety at risk.

Goloka Farm is home to nearly 30 rescued cows and bulls who live out their full lives in safety — free from slaughter and exploitation, in keeping with the Vedic tradition of honoring the cow as a mother deserving lifelong care.

Both barns that shelter this herd are now structurally compromised. Years of water damage have caused the roofs to sag and tear across their length, support posts at both the roofline and ground level have rotted through, and daylight is visible through gaps in the roofing where it should be sealed. Temporary tarps have held for now, but neither structure will withstand another Pacific Northwest winter without full repair.

• Full roof replacement across both barns
• Structural repair and replacement of rotted support posts and beams
• Repair of water-damaged interior sheathing
• Road repair
• Installation of new fencing
• Installation of new gates
• Siding and drainage improvements to prevent recurrence

A structural engineer has been engaged to formally assess the damage across both structures; findings will be shared as they become available.
