The North Okanogan Valley lacks affordable high-speed broadband, accessible technology, and digital education for adults and seniors. Further, local businesses do not possess on-site training facilities with A/V capabilities for remote training. To fill these critical needs, this project consists of three components:
-Digital Education: Three Digital Navigators offer classes in digital safety, assist the community to access essential digital resources, and enable training for digital work skills.
-Equipment: The classroom is equipped with a high-speed fiber optic connection, electrified flip-top tables, a large monitor, laptops, a printer, and Poly sound system enabling a productive remote and in-person classroom environment (to be fully completed in Q2, 2026).
-Co-Work and Training Space: The provided resources can be used for co-working in two "third space" seating areas or separately as conferencing and remote training space for purposes beyond digital education.
