Our ranch currently boasts a serene 2-acre pond stocked with catfish, providing a delightful fishing experience for visitors. However, we're committed to creating an even better environment for both the fish and our community.
Project Overview
Objective: The goal of "Fishin' for the Future" is to enrich the biodiversity and sustainability of our pond, ultimately enhancing the fishing experience for all. This improvement will support new programming, including fishing derbies, and contribute to our mission of serving our heroes and the community.
Enhancements:
• Stocking New Fish: We plan to introduce bass and bluegill to our pond, diversifying the species available for fishing and promoting a balanced aquatic ecosystem.
• Increasing Water Level: To support the new fish and improve the pond’s overall health, we aim to raise the water level by 5 feet. This will create a more substantial habitat, benefiting all aquatic life.
• Well Drilling and Pump Installation: A new well and pump system will be installed to feed the pond and ensure consistent water levels. This system will also provide aeration, improving water quality and fish health.
