The mission of Freewheels Houston is to provide safe, reliable bicycles to refugees, veterans emerging from homelessness and young people from low-income families. Freewheels bicycles provide everyday transportation that enables people from underserved communities to get to work and school and stay healthy and connected.

Freewheels Houston connects refugees and veterans emerging from homelessness to opportunities in the Houston community by providing them with the freedom to move around the city--to work, school and other destinations--on safe and reliable bicycles. Donated bikes are cleaned and repaired by volunteers. We also provide helmets, lights, locks, backpacks and tips on urban bike riding to encourage a safe cycling experience.

How Donations Work
