MEMPHIS FOURTH ESTATE INC
Memphis, Tennessee
Launched in September 2018, The Daily Memphian is the must-read, primary daily online publication for intelligent, in-depth journalism in the Memphis community. The Daily Memphian reports on critical news, holds political, business and community leaders accountable, and engages with and entertains its readers – all while seeking truth, acting with integrity, and never fearing stories simply because of their negative or positive attributes. Led by a seasoned team of veteran journalists, The Daily Memphian is of Memphis, not just in Memphis, and seeks to tell the stories of this city.
The Daily Memphian is a nonprofit, locally owned newsroom committed to delivering high-quality, in-depth journalism that strengthens our community. We believe access to reliable local news is essential for an informed public, accountable leadership, and a more connected Memphis. Through the support of donors, we provide free or subsidized access to our reporting for students, educators, and community organizations—ensuring that more people can stay informed, engaged, and empowered.
Contributions help sustain independent journalism, expand access to trusted local reporting, and ensure that critical stories continue to be told. Together, we can protect and grow the civic value of local news in Memphis.
