Of the one million-plus dependents adversely affected by deployments, nearly 9 out of 10 do not qualify for federal scholarship assistance. Similarly, of the 900K law enforcement officers, 1.1M firefighter personnel, and 219K full-time EMT and Paramedics, little is provided to support their families if they should experience a catastrophic injury or fall during their service to keep us safe. Since 2007, Folds of Honor’s mission has been to close the gap, providing educational support to spouses and children of
America's fallen and disabled service members. In 2022, we included first responders in our scholarship family for those who provide our safety here at home. The E. PA-NJ Chapter works on the local level to engage in activities that develop awareness for the organization and to provide financial support for the Foundation’s mission through grass-roots efforts such as fundraising events and fund drives. Ninety-one percent of each dollar provided goes to our scholarship funds for K-12 and Higher Education qualifying our organization to be Four-star ranked with Charity Navigator.
