General Operating Costs for Hometown Hero Outdoors

by HOMETOWN HERO OUTDOORS

Description:
The General Operating Costs program ensures the continued success and sustainability of Hometown Hero Outdoors’ mission to provide outdoor recreation and mental health support for military service members, veterans, and first responders. While programs like Outdoor Adventures and Operation Guardian Sentinel directly impact the lives of our heroes, the infrastructure supporting these programs is just as critical. General operating funds cover essential services such as accounting, organizational insurance, website maintenance, and technology upgrades, enabling us to run efficiently and safely.

At Hometown Hero Outdoors, we are proud to say that we are 100% unpaid—all of our staff and volunteers donate their time and expertise to the mission. As a result, we can dedicate 95% of every dollar raised directly to our programs, ensuring that the majority of our funds go toward life-changing outdoor experiences, mental health training, and crisis intervention services.

Administrative costs like legal counsel, website, insurance and things of the like are necessary to keep our organization running, but we work diligently to minimize these expenses. By covering these essential operational costs, we ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of our mission, allowing us to continue providing critical support to those who have served our country and communities.

Goal:
To ensure the smooth operation and sustainability of HHO’s mission by covering essential administrative costs. These funds allow us to maintain the infrastructure needed to run our programs effectively and ensure that the vast majority of our resources go directly into serving military personnel, veterans, and first responders.
