For each of the last three years our sporting clays fundraising events have raised tens of thousands of dollars, surpassing previous years bringing in unprecedented sponsorships from individuals and businesses within the community as appreciation to the Disabled Veterans for the sacrifices we made so they can enjoy the freedoms we all hold dear in this country. These funds, coupled with other donations and fund-raising efforts by DAV Chapter 144 has allowed continued funding of the programs that care for our fellow Hudson Valley Veterans in need. We have been able to maintain support for the
Castle Point food pantry, monthly brunch to the VA Medical Hospital patients and transportation for medical appointments to Hudson Valley Veterans in need. We were able to assist the Guardian Revival Organization which is chartered to revive &
preserve the mental health & well-being of veterans. Their Boot and Paws program provides service dogs to assist veterans to cope with those anxieties received while defending the country. We work closely with Building Homes for Heroes which to date
has provided at no cost almost 400 homes to veterans who have lost a limb during their military service.
DAV Chapter 144 asks for your support to continue pursuing our mission in supporting the DAV. We ask that you consider contributing any type of donation you are willing to support us with. Sponsorship or donations can be monetary, hunting, fishing, sporting goods, outdoor power equipment, outdoor living, lawn & garden, or any other supplies that can be auctioned or raffled off at our 4th Annual Sporting Clays event.
