SAVE22 is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, focused on fighting veteran, active duty & first responder suicide. SAVE22 stands shoulder to shoulder with the men and women who have served our country and the communities within. SAVE22 listens to their stories and remind them that they are never alone or forgotten. When they are struggling with the demons of their past, SAVE22 supports and guides them to healing.
Support – To provide support services to those who have been affected by suicide, including counseling and other resources.
Assist – To provide assistance to those seeking help and foster good relations with the organizations that support the cause.
Volunteer – To develop outreach programs to reach those who are at risk of suicide but may not know where to turn for help.
Educate – To provide training and resources on suicide prevention to local organizations and community leaders.
We are dedicated to raising awareness about suicide prevention among veterans and first responders. We believe that suicide is preventable, and we are committed to providing resources and support to those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts or behaviors.
In order to accomplish our vision, SAVE22 strives to reach as many veterans, active-duty personnel, first responders, and adjacent family members as possible. SAVE22 welcomes the opportunity to offer awareness, prevention, and outreach to communities and we do our best to meet the needs and requests of the organizations that reach out to us.
Hike – The purpose of the ANNUAL SAVE22 hike is to allow everyone to honor their loved ones, whether it has been a loss or a survivor, and to raise awareness to others fighting their demons, that they have someone to turn to. The veteran, first responder, and local communities come together each year to give their support and sometimes the closure many have been looking for.
Outreach – In the SAVE22 family, we are your loyal brothers, sisters, and confidantes who provide support and resources when the struggle with PTSD, depression, and anxiety becomes overwhelming. Day or night, our members have spoken with, traveled to, and transported brother or sister in the throes of internal conflict.
Programs – Characteristically, SAVE22 designs our programs to be small, informal groups of usually, 4-8 participants at a time, with an occasional exception. Although some of our programs are at larger venues, there will always be someone willing to step outside the crowd for private time.
Events – Events are the foundation of SAVE22’s outreach. This enables SAVE22 to reach communities. Events are the primary source of the majority of our impacts and assists. SAVE22 aims to be available at events that cater to our targeted demographic.
