SCOTT DECOSTE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP INC

We are a 501(c)3 organization that was formed June 13, 2016, with the mission of keeping Scott's memory alive by helping others.

We award yearly scholarships to high school seniors in both Rhode Island and the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia. Our RI award is given to a graduate of Woonsocket High School, where Scott graduated. In keeping with Scott's love of the Navy, the Hampton Roads winner is a child of a military parent. This parent can be either active duty, a veteran, or died while on active duty.

In 2017, we also began a "Pay It Forward" initiative in Scott's memory on his birthday, July 21st. The ask is for people to do a good deed in honor of his birthday. To date, we have had numerous states and several countries participate.
