As a non-profit public benefit corporation, our mission is clear: to alleviate individual psychological distress and empower the communities we serve. We pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services regardless of socio-economic status. To make this possible, we accept nearly all insurances, including commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare. We also provide sliding scale fees, based on income, for individuals who may not have insurance.
At the core of our endeavors lies a commitment to providing essential psychological services, catering to the diverse needs of individuals, families, and communities across the state. Through individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychological and neurological assessments, we strive to offer quality, professional, and competent mental health care to those who need it most.
At Telos, we provide comprehensive diagnostic testing for ages 2 throughout the lifespan. Psychological assessment evaluates an individual’s social, emotional, intellectual, academic, cognitive and/or behavioral functioning. Specifically, The Telos Project provides psychological, psycho-educational, and neuropsychological assessment. This is achieved through the use of standardized measures, interviews, questionnaires, observations, consultations with current and previous providers and reviews of previous records.
Assessments can identify issues such as autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, language disorders, personality disorders, and more. Through these assessments, we offer a comprehensive understanding of an individual's social, emotional, intellectual, and behavioral functioning, paving the way for targeted interventions and personalized treatment plans. Proper assessment and diagnosis can improve an individual’s chance of success, decrease drop-out rates, and allow families to better understand how to address the challenges they face.
Therapists at Telos aim to become leaders in the field of mental health, nurturing children, families, and elderly individuals, equipping them with the tools to resiliently navigate life's challenges and thrive. Patients may be experiencing a range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, personality disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, selective mutism, PTSD, and other developmental disorders. Our clinicians provide a supportive and inclusive, therapeutic environment for patients as young as age 4 and throughout the lifespan.
Our dedicated therapists have a variety of specialized training and certifications such as Play Therapy as well as a variety of evidence-based trauma-resolution treatment modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In a unique fusion of therapy and recreation, The Telos Project holds Dungeons and Dragons therapy groups facilitated by Certified Therapeutic Game Masters. By immersing participants in a world of fantasy and adventure, these groups offer individuals with mental health conditions a safe space to explore and express emotions, build social skills, and foster meaningful connections through teamwork and communication.
