REBUILDING TOGETHER KANSAS CITY INC

The mission of Rebuilding Together Kansas City (RTKC) is to bring volunteers and communities together to transform the homes and lives of homeowners in need. We provide home repairs and safety modifications for veterans, seniors, people living with disabilities, and low-income families. Our vision is a safe and healthy home for every person.

We have three programs:
1) Rebuilding Day - our annual rebuilding blitz on the first Saturday of October when hundreds of volunteers complete essential repairs on 20-25 homes.
2) Safe at Home - our year round program that provides home safety modifications to create a safe and accessible home.
3) Rebuilding Together Store - a home improvement thrift store for building materials located at 1908 Plumbers Way #300 Liberty, MO.

Types of Repairs and Modifications:
-Restore heating and cooling
-Fix dangerous electrical problems
-Repair faulty plumbing conditions
-Install new hot water heaters
-Build wheelchair ramps
-Repair rotten flooring
-Repair or replace doors and windows
-Install grab bars
-Install bathroom assistive devices
-Create more stable and accessible entrances

Value of our Services:
In 2016 alone, 648 volunteers invested 8,572 hours and completed home repairs and modifications worth a market value of $259,956 for KC Northland residents.
