YOUNG WOMENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF EL PASO TEXAS YWCA

YWCA El Paso del Norte Region is 112 years old and touches the lives of over 42,000 people each year. It is the largest, most comprehensive YWCA in the nation. YWCA is known for the providing high-quality, accredited programming that directly address the most consequential needs of working families on the border. YWCA provides for El Paso children, families, Veterans, seniors, and offers housing and supportive services to families experiencing the trauma of homelessness. Programs include: Early Learning Academies, After School STEAM Programs, Fitness and Aquatics, workforce development programs, housing for seniors, housing for those experiencing homelessness, housing for those escaping domestic violence, social equity and empowerment initiative. YWCA has significant events throughout the year: Walk a Mile in her Shoes, Women's Luncheon (April of 2019 had 2,100 attendees), and Race Against Racism. Volunteers are an important part of the YWCA in El Paso and contribute thousands of hours each year.
