Urgent Needs Met in Columbia, Tennessee, Tornado Response

Convoy of Hope is en route to Columbia, Tennessee, with team members and a trailer loaded with supplies. Once they arrive, distribution of totes, tarps, water, sports drinks, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies will begin immediately.

Wednesday night, dangerous storms produced tornadoes that ripped through parts of Tennessee, killing two people in the state and injuring others. The storms knocked out a portion of the power grid, leaving residents dealing with the damage without electricity. As of this morning, m55ore than 62,000 people are still without power.

May is an active month for severe weather in the United States. Parts of Alabama and Georgia are under tornado watches today until this evening. Convoy is ready to respond wherever disaster strikes.
