The Veterans Memorial Museum Inc is a nonprofit organization located in Shenandoah, Iowa. Its mission is to pay tribute to and honor all who have served honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. The governing board is all volunteer, the items in the museum have been donated by veterans or family members. The museum is open to all at no charge at designated times or any other time by request. The museum is seeking endowment with the intent of generating funds off the interest earned to fund the operating costs. Currently expenses are covered by donations, grants and fundraisers. The museum offers support to veterans and family members, conducts tours for adults and students, hosts organizations, has a speaker series and periodically features a veteran by displaying his/her uniform and bio of military involvement.
