HARRODSBURG HISTORICAL SOCIETY

HARRODSBURG, Kentucky

Our object is to collect and perpetuate facts of historic interest relative to Harrodsburg and Mercer County Kentucky. To awaken an interest in the study of the history of this county and of the entire state. To collect and preserve relics and documents of interest. To assist in marking historic points with tablets or memorials.

Founded in 1910, HHS has been documenting area history for well over a century. We are one of the oldest historical societies in Kentucky. We host fun and informative meetings and events at Morgan Row-once Morgan's Tavern- the historic row house that has sheltered local gatherings for over 200 years. Community members of all ages come together to enjoy interesting speakers and presentations about local history.

Our Research Library holds a wealth of local history publications, files, newspapers, government documents, and other information to assist you in your search for historical, genealogical, or geographical information. A large collection of artifacts provide insight into the material culture of the past.
