HOPE is partnered with Equine Services for Heroes, a national program developed by PATH International with the goal of serving those who have served us. Since 2010 HOPE has provided its Horses Helping Heroes program, through services provided by PATH instructors and licensed occupational therapist, bringing the benefits of equine assisted activities and therapies to military service members. This program is open to all veterans and active duty personnel from all branches of the service and first responders.
HOPE’s program addresses the special rehabilitative needs of these HEROS recovering from injuries sustained in the line of duty, such as, traumatic brain injuries, post traumatic stress disorder, auditory and visual impairments and amputation.
Funding for this program is provided by donations from the general public and offered at no charge to our participants.
